"I learned the tricks of the trade in Australia at Granddad Jack's Craft Distillery and Beech Mountain Distillery in Gold Coast and later at the larger Beenleigh Rum Distillery near Brisbane. In addition, I am also continuously experimenting with flavors and creating distillates in my spare time. When I moved to Belgium, Van der Schueren best met my expectations and they also offered me the creative freedom that I find important."

Our birthplace, our home and the place where all products are produced is Aalst (E.-Vl., BE). A city with ancient rituals and deep-rooted traditions that today make the city center unique in its kind.
A nod to the city's traditional costume symbolizes what we stand for with Van der Schueren Distillery. Just like many of our fellow citizens, our DNA consists of a deep respect for tradition and a touch of rebelliousness, complemented by an open-minded perspective on the world.
