Alowis Sambuca is a high-quality liqueur based on fresh star anise from the Mediterranean region. A maceration of at least one month takes place to extract the most essential  oils  of the star anise. The whole is then distilled twice to concentrate and enhance the pure taste. The transparent color is a result of this distillation. When making Alowis Sambuca,  hung extra star anise in the 'aroma basket' of the pot still.
